Having Your Own WordPress Girl Friday is Easy!

Here are the basics of how you can have your own WordPress Girl Friday to get “WordPress Help When You Need It”!

  • How does the WordPress Girl Friday system work?
    It’s as easy as 1,2,3!

    1. First, review this FAQ in its entirety before proceeding so you understand how this site works.
    2. Register on the site by using the left sidebar registration form. IMPORTANT: Be sure to use your formal first name as your username. If your first name is already in use, please use your first name with your last name initial. This will allow quicker approval as you won’t look like a spammer.
    3. Purchase a Support Ticket for $49.95 per issue by clicking on the button to your left. When I get notification of your payment I will approve your registration request which will then allow you to have access to my ticket system. You will receive a confirmation e-mail reflecting your approval. Be sure to add @wpgirlfriday.com to your address book, whitelist or approved senders list so that my confirmation e-mail make it through your network.

Once I receive confirmation of your payment I’ll approve your registration so you can submit your ticket by clicking on Support Request Button above. You will then get an e-mail that includes a link to your ticket on this site so you can review my updates and provide your input. Each time your ticket status is modified or updated, you will get an e-mail.

All communications are through the WPGF
Support Ticket System on this site

…so that we have a running record of our conversation and for your future reference. Communications sent off the ticket system will not be responded to directly. If you prefer more personal WordPress help, check out TheIStudio.com my Concierge WordPress Consulting site.

  • What does the ticket fee of $49.95 include?
Your ticket can focus on one issue/topic that you need me to investigate or that you require direction on. Once that issue has been resolved your ticket will be closed.

  • What if I have more than one issue I need help with?
While you can purchase as many tickets as you like @ $49.95/each, each issue needs to be submitted on it’s own ticket so we can concentrate on the issue at hand. If you want to have a conversation about multiple concerns, please visit my WordPress Concierge Consulting site.

  • What if I have follow-up questions?
That’s O.K. as long as your questions are directly related to your initial inquiry. Tickets will be closed after 72 hours of no activity once your initial inquiry/request has been resolved.

  • What type of stuff can you help with?
From simple stuff like how to customize colors, widgets or setup plugins to troubleshooting an error message. You’ll get step-by-step direction on how to accomplish what you desire, or, you have the option of providing your login info for me to go in and take care of business for you.

    WordPress Support Tickets can include:

    • General “How To” Questions
    • Theme Uploads
    • Adding or Modifying your theme’s header image.
    • RSS / Feedburner Setup and Customization
    • Spam and Security Prevention
    • Error Message Explanations/Advice
    • Plugin Suggestions, Plugin Installation, Plugin Setup
    • Theme Style Tweaking
    • Widgets and Widgetized Areas
  • What type of stuff will a support ticket NOT cover?
WordPress Girl Friday was setup to get individual tasks/issues resolved easily and quickly so that you can get on with the business of running your site.

Unfortunately, a support ticket may not offer the adequate time to accomplish certain tasks that require more troubleshooting, attention, planning and detail.

Examples of the type of tasks that a support ticket will NOT cover are:

    • WordPress, Plugin and Theme Upgrades
    • Sites that have been hacked.
    • Complete site reviews, moves and restorations.
    • Structural Theme Customization or WordPress core code modification or repair.
    • Plugin customization.
    • Telephone consultations.

When a support ticket is purchased you will be advised if the tasks that you want addressed can be done with one support ticket or if additional consulting support to accomplish your desired task will be necessary. If your request is beyond the scoop of a $49.95 support ticket I will refund your ticket fee immediately.

  • How quickly can I expect a response?
I’m here and online every business day between 9a-5p CENTRAL TIME. You’ll usually get an answer pretty quickly.

Please note: Being I am not online on weekends, tickets submitted on Friday’s will be addressed on a case by case basis (but no later than Monday morning). I do not want to dive into something and then have your ticket left hanging over the weekend.

  • Why only $49.95 when so many other sites are more expensive?
WordPress Girl Friday was created to help folks on an issue by issue basis. By laser focusing on one issue you don’t have to purchase blocks of time or packages for support and features you do not need. In my experience, most tickets can be resolved quickly with only a couple of communications between us.

  • What if my request is beyond the scope of a WPGF Support Ticket?
Then you may want to consider visiting my WordPress Consultant Personalized WordPress Help and Support site and contacting me there. If a ticket is submitted that is beyond the scope of WPGF, I will refund your payment and let you know why.

If you submit and pay for a Support Ticket, I will always advise in detail the variables involved in regard to what you state you want to accomplish. This way you will know what you need to do and implement as well as the anticipated additional cost if you need me to assist further.

Keep in mind there may be instances where what you desire cannot be done or is not recommended. Nor should you assume that I will disregard my 17 years of proven successful online experience. If what you want to accomplish is not moral, ethical or goes against what I know to be right I will refund your ticket price and immediately close your ticket to further communications.

WordPress Girl Friday is a great way to get the information you need to find out what is involved in some of the things you would like to do in the future or learn how to do yourself on your WordPress site or Blog.

  • I can’t access my ticket — what’s up?
First be sure you are logged in. Only the logged in ticket owner can view their tickets. Other reasons can be due to not having submitted your $49.95 ticket fee or the ticket has been closed. Once a ticket is resolved it will remain in the WPGF system for 30 days — then deleted.

Tickets are not closed unless I am sure your initial inquiry has been resolved. Once that is accomplished, tickets are formally closed as being resolved. Feel free to open a new ticket on any additional issue or problem you would like to discuss.
